Kernville has been rated one of the top 10 whitewater towns in the country and we have four rafting/ kayking outfitters within a five minute walk of the lodge.  Many of our guests look forward to great fishing in the Kern River or Lake Isabella just 3 miles downstream.  Kayakers and rafters enjoy running Class I-V whitewater on the Upper and Lower Kern. The nearby Sequoia National Forest offers beautiful hiking and biking trails just outside of town. While just an hours drive up river will get you to an impressive grove of Giant Sequoia trees and much more.  Visit the Kern River Ranger Station just across town to plan your trip.
