       Our standard beginner kayak lesson is a 2 day course with an option of additional day(s).

Day 1 is spent on class 1 and II water, getting people use to their gear and learning the fundamentals of whitewater kayaking such as;  Wet exit, bow rescue, self rescue, and basic strokes.
Day 2 is the introduction to whitewater segment where students learn basic river hydrology, rapid features, river safety, and fundamental kayaking moves such as: crossing eddie lines, ferrying, peel-outs, catching eddies, and navigating rapids. We also introduce students to the "Eskimo roll" and bracing.
Additional Days consist of honing the student's skills in river reading, more technical boat handling in stronger currents, learning to surf and advanced strokes including bracing and rolling.
